As a Gameplay Programmer specializing in AI programming, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining AI systems that bring our game characters to life. Your work will be crucial in creating challenging and believable AI behaviors that enhance the player experience.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with Unreal Engine, particularly in AI programming with behavior trees
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Blueprint scripting within Unreal Engine
- Proven experience in developing AI systems for games, including behavior trees, blackboards, sensory systems, and pathfinding
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail to address AI-related challenges
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with designers, artists, and other programmers
Main task pool:
- Design and implement AI behaviors and systems within Unreal Engine, including behavior trees, blackboards, sensory systems, and pathfinding
- Ensure AI systems are optimized for performance and scalability. Identify and fix any performance bottlenecks or bugs
- Work closely with game designers to translate AI design specifications into functional and engaging AI behaviors
- Participate in playtesting sessions to evaluate AI behavior and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and performance metrics
- Create comprehensive documentation for AI systems and behaviors, ensuring clarity for other team members and future development.
Will be a plus:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred
