We are looking for a Senior Game Designer to join our team and help shape a multiplayer strategy auto-battler with card-based mechanics. This role will be central in designing engaging gameplay systems, balancing mechanics, and creating progression features that keep players invested and challenged over the long term.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of experience as a Game Designer, preferably in strategy, card, or competitive multiplayer games.
- Experience designing card-based or auto-battler mechanics.
- Strong knowledge of game balance, systems design, and progression mechanics.
- Experience with combat systems, synergies, and meta design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to translate complex mechanics into accessible gameplay.
- Proven ability to create design documents, wireframes, and flowcharts.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Passion for competitive strategy games and replayability-driven design.
Nice to have:
- Understanding of live-ops, meta design, and player retention strategies.
- Familiarity with competitive gaming ecosystems and player psychology.
What the role is about:
- Design and document core gameplay systems, mechanics, and features for a competitive strategy auto-battler.
- Develop hero abilities, units, cards, synergies, and progression systems that create depth and replayability.
- Work closely with the product and engineering teams to prototype, test, and refine mechanics.
- Own game economy balancing, ensuring fair and engaging player progression.
- Analyze gameplay data and player feedback to improve game balance, pacing, and retention.
- Collaborate with artists and UX designers to ensure systems are intuitive, accessible, and fun.
- Write clear and detailed design documentation that guides cross-functional teams.
- Stay updated on market trends in competitive multiplayer and strategy games to inform design decisions.
