Game Balance Designer

What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of experience as a Game Designer with a focus on balancing/system design.
- Proven experience working on CCGs (Collectible Card Games) or auto-battler games.
- Strong understanding of probability, game economies, and competitive balance principles.
- Familiarity with Hearthstone Battlegrounds, Teamfight Tactics, or similar auto-battlers.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable balance changes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience in live-ops balancing and seasonal updates.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis tools.
- Passion for competitive gaming and esports ecosystems.
What the role is about:
- Define, document, and maintain balance systems for heroes, units, cards, and abilities.
- Analyze gameplay data, win rates, and meta shifts to identify balancing issues.
- Design and execute balancing patches and iterations.
- Work closely with game designers and system designers to ensure balance aligns with both fun and competitive integrity.
- Playtest extensively, provide feedback, and run internal balancing sessions.
- Collaborate with narrative designer to ensure balance changes fit lore, progression, and player experience goals.
