What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years in games, film, or VFX creating photoreal character concept art that has shipped.

• Portfolio demonstrating:
  – Accurate facial likeness and emotional range.
  – Deep knowledge of human & animal anatomy, proportion, and aging.
  – Mastery of skin subsurface, fabric weave, metal reflectance, and weathering.
  – Ability to match real-world camera lenses and lighting scenarios.

• Fluency in Photoshop.

• Excellent visual communication skills.

• Self-driven, critique-hungry, and able to thrive in a fully remote, timezone-distributed team.
  

What the role is about:

• Visualize human and creature characters in full photoreal style: anatomy, likeness, costume, gear, aging, damage, and material response to light.

• Produce turnarounds, expression sheets, lighting keys, and material swatches that are technically bulletproof for modelers and texture artists.

• Partner with the Art Director to establish silhouette language, color palettes, and cultural authenticity for multiple factions.

• Iterate rapidly in 2D to validate forms under real-world lighting.
